Programmers are known to not have a strong suit for art related disciplines, pixel art is no exception.
Do you use Aseprite or check out other tools? If so, which one felt the best as a programmer
I use Aseprite. I think it's the best tool for pixel art. You can use libresprite which is a free and open source version of it. I think it's more limited though, not sure!
There is also Piskel which is nice and works in the browser.
